Viewing, Managing and Updating Equipment
Viewing Equipment
By default, when viewing equipment, you will be on the Details tab.
The Details tab contains basic information such as name, serial etc, as well as tags and associations.
Associations
*Note* you can only associate equipment with either a site, vehicle or an employee. Not multiple entity's at once. The following example associates a site but applies to all three.
Assign the equipment directly to a site by clicking the “Assign to Site” option from the Site dropdown:
Select a Site and click the Save button to associate it with the equipment:
You’ll see a success message and the site label is now displayed:
Reminder: this example applies to all three associations!
Managing Equipment
Although equipment can be associated with employees, vehicles or sites via the equipment view, equipment can also be managed directly via the equipment space of the recipient system entity.
The following example makes use of the Employee equipment space but applies to all entities that can be associated with equipment.
To assign equipment directly to a recipient entity, or relinquish it, navigate to the entity page and select the Equipment tab.
To assign equipment, click the Manage Equipment button:
You will see a list of any equipment that is available to be assigned.
Select the equipment you wish to assign and click the Save button:
You will see a success message as well as the equipment in the listing:
*Note* To remove the equipment from the employee, click the Remove item from the dropdown menu.
Updating Equipment
When viewing the equipment you need to update, click the Update button:
You can then make any required changes and click the Update Equipment button:
You will see a success message and the updated equipment information
Updating Equipment Picture
To upload a picture of the equipment, you must click the “Update Picture” option from the dropdown:
Select Choose File and add the image then click the Update Picture button:
You will see a success message and the updated picture
