Listing Certifications
A certification is, essentially, a recognition that something, fulfils the necessary criteria to attain a certain status or perform a certain task. Certifications have holders, which are just system entities, and certificates are awarded to them to determine whether the holder has attained the certification or not.
Certifications and qualifications are, basically, the same. They work in the same way and are managed in the same way. The distinction is that if the recipient is an employee, the recognition is a qualification, otherwise, it’s a certification.
