Risk Statuses

All system entities are subject to a risk status. This allows you to easily identify any issues that need resolving. The various statuses are as follows:

  • OK
This indicates that everything is fine with the entity
  • AT RISK
This indicates that the entity will soon need attention
  • ATTENTION
This indicates that the entity needs attention immediately

Qualifications can be applied to Employees only

Certifications can be applied to Vehicles, Equipment and Organisations

Risk From Qualification

The risk status is determined by the validity of the qualification for any associated qualifications.

For example, the following employee only has a “Company Induction” qualification, and the qualification is valid. Therefore, the system concludes that this employee is OK.

The employee below, however, has three qualifications, one of which expires soon. So the system concludes that the employee is AT RISK because they will soon require attention.

Notice that the Qualifications tab icon has inherited the colour, associated with the overall risk status, of the employees qualifications. This is also the case for all system entities which have tabs to manage risk-affected associations.

This employee has four qualifications and one of the qualifications has now expired. Because of this, the system concludes that the employee is now in need of immediate attention and sets the employees risk status to ATTENTION.

Risk From Association

A system entity, which is at the top of the hierarchy of the group of it’s associations, is affected by the risk statuses of the entities it owns, regardless if the owning entity itself is otherwise fine.

For example, if a Team, which was otherwise fine, had a member who is ‘Attention’, the system would conclude that the team is ‘Attention’ as a result:

This principle is true for any and all association hierarchies, no matter how complex.
